The honored president of the consumer union M. Bulent Deniz stated that they will not support the attrocities that Israel is commiting in Gaza. ''by using our consumption power we are boycotting Israelian, USA and English products'' he added.
In further explanation honored president of the consumer union M. Bulent Deniz said:
In the attrocities that Israel commited in Gaza from 27th of December till today hunderds of Palestinians have lost their lives and thousands are wounded. Those who managed to stay alive are in danger because there are not sufficient supplies of food and medicines and because of this can lose their lives any moment.
This horrifying events led to intensive reactions among nations. Likewise, in our country there were protests organised at the very beginning of the atacks. Millions of people from Turkey showed their reactions in the streets against the genocide commited by Israel, and went furthermore to boycott the product of Israel and its supporting nations USA and UK. As a result of this various lists of boycotted products are prepared to inform the public and spreaded around quickly.
The consumer Union;
-The strength in the establishment of origns of goods and services in the globalizing economic order .
-The strenght in replacing of those goods and services that are to be boycotted.
-The government was always careful when it comes to boycott because it would result with increased unemployment due to the fact that boycotted companies has a domestic producers, sellers and deliverers. But only when you have arrived to the ''point where the line is crossed'' do you get the viable boycott by using the consumers' power and support.
The USA's invasion in Iraq, the Caricature incident with Denmark as well as Armenian bill in French law were in the recent period good enough reasons for boycott by The Consumer Union and they resulted with success.
In order to avoid any mistake that can be made on a list produced in some unorganised boycott events that are likely to occur and in order to lead this boycott properly and efficiently, and most important because in Gaza ''the line has been crossed'', The Consumer Union once more presents the boycott alternative to our people
As a result of a research done by consumer union Israelian, American and British companies or partner companies as well as trade marks with the origns in the mentioned countries and companies that financially support Israelian armed forces are pointed out. As this process continues the list is constantly updated.
The expectation from our general public is to forgive any possible flaw made on the list prepared by The Consumer Union and to boycott the products mentioned.
